Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window...It's sunny but cool
I am thinking...That my beloved husbamd will be here again with us in about 12 hours
I am wearing... Long ruffled denim skirt, grey tee shirt and bare feet
I am going to deep clean the house today before dinner
I am reading Cranioklepty-Grave Robbing and the Search for Genius and The Secret by Beverly Lewis
I am thankful.. That my in laws are hosting Thanksgiving dinner, and I won't have to spend the day cooking, cleaning, etc.
From the kitchen... Sweet sourdough starter for tomorrow's bread baking session is resting on the counter
Around the house... I have some last minute cleaning to do before my beloved husband comes home this evening
One of my favorite things...Is holiday baking. I made jan hagel, sugar cookies and chocolate-mint biscotti for my dad to take home with him after they visited this past weekend.
From picture journal... This is a video of the guys that my Dad plays music with it at the church I grew up in. He is the one playing the bass, Dean is playing the banjo, George is playing the six string and Robert is playing the mandolin.

Crockpot Carnival recipe
Thursday, November 19, 2009
I completely for got that Tuesday was Crockpot Carnival Day so here is my recipe two days late-UGH!!
Easy Crockpot Pork Chops
Boneless Pork Chops-the amount depends on how many you need to feed your family
Cream of Mushroom soup-two cans is what I usually use
_______________________________________________________
Spray your crockpot with Pam. Place a layer of pork chop then a layer of soup followed by a layer pork chops until your pot is full. The soup layer will be the layer on top. Turn your crockpot to Low and walk away. I serve this with rice and green beans on the side.

November 17, 2009
I know that this post is a day late but yesterday was rather busy for us. We are going "no TV" except for a 30 minute children's Bible video for us each day. (more on that in an upcoming blog later this week)Outside my window... The night is clear and cool with stars starting to come out
I am thinking...How long until my beloved husband is back with us
I am thankful for... my parents and oldest daughter coming to visit us this weekend
I am wearing... Grey t-shirt, green jumper, white sox and white sneakers
I am going to ... put the children to bed and finish the house up
I am reading ...Cranioklepty -Grave Robbing and the Search for Genius by Colin Dickey (a great book)
I am hoping... To scan some photos and put them on my blog site
On my mind... How much Kara has been praying for me. Thanks a million.
From the learning rooms... How much Emily's handwriting has improved
Noticing... That I have let my spiritual life slide and how I need to get it in order
From the kitchen... Chocolate mint biscotti cooling for packing into cookie tins for holiday giving
Around the house... The children are playing before they have to start getting ready for bedtime
One of my favorite things...Being able to spend time with my children
Here is a picture for thought I am sharing... Nickolaus got this Tee-shirt at the premier 2012 when we saw a special preview last Wednesday. Thanks to TtheROP at Hot 104.5 for the T-shirt for him and the photo. Still trying to figure how to set photos for the blog :-(
