The preschooling/homeschooling blog I promised ya'll

Friday, April 22, 2011

I posted on my Facebook wall earlier toady that I would post some free sites for home schooling and preschool. Now I know that there are  probably MILLIONS of sites so you kind of have to be careful of what one you chose.

I have chosen my selections based on a few criteria:

1. Is it easy to navigate? If you get “lost” or the site has a lot of pop-ups then it was a no-go. Who wants to spend their time clicking on pop-ups all the time? Not me and I’m pretty certain you don’t either.

2. Is it actually FREE? There are sites that lure you in with “free” but once you read the fine print you realize “Hey, I have to pay! I thought it was free.”

3. Can you contact the site administrator(s) with questions or problems? Being able to do so without a big fuss is very important.

So without further ado here are some of my favorite sites:

For preschoolers:

http://letteroftheweek.com/

http://preschoolpalace.org/monthlycurriculum.aspx

http://www.homeschooldiner.com/specials/preschool/curriculum.html

For elementary and high schoolers:

http://oldfashionededucation.com/- one of my all time favorites! Great site.

For high schoolers and adults wanting to learn more:

Here are some other links that have printouts for home schooling, and getting organized (as if home schoolers are all perfectly organized!! Trust me not all home schooling families are like the Duggars! Not that Michelle and Jim Bob don’t strike me as decent folks. I mean they do have that killer ice cream sandwich cake recipe ☺)

Also as far as the household notebook, you can read about mine here at:

Until next time…
